This is a frameset that can be ridden hard and put away wet. We use Tange tubing because it’s got a heritage of quality and a responsive feel. We know that the everyday cyclist needs a bike they can count on, day in and day out. From there we offered a bike that everyone could get behind: a solid platform for a multitude of fixed and single-speed builds. The beauty of the frame for us is that it keeps the track spirit, yet has never limited itself. The latest update is tweaked to fit fatter tires in case you want to try to track across. It also has an anti-rust coating on the interior of the tubes. If you choose to put brakes on, get the 57mm reach, not 49mm. We no longer have a 61cm size, but we have re-designed our smallest size with a sloping top tube to fit shorter riders. The new Ascent is more adaptable than ever. The frame is TIG-welded with heat-treated, triple-butted Ritchey Logic steel tubing that features rack and fender mounts and a multi-purpose mount under the downtube, while a new Ritchey steel fork offers up multi-purpose, rack, fender and dynamo light mounts. Other notable features of the new Ritchey Ascent include post-mount brake compatibility, 148mm spacing and an external seat collar. Avoid the extra baggage fees, but still fully experience adventures by bike when you travel. The Ritchey Break-Away road frame is a full-size bike that can be split apart to fit into its own special travel case that's basically the same size as a normal checked bag at the airport. The Break-Away Road frame is made from Ritchey heat treated, CrMo butted steel tubing, and includes a Pro Carbon Fork and headset. Aside from it's fantastic ride performance, the magic of this bike is in its patented locking compression system, which adds only 100 grams to the weight of the bike.
